The Role:
Lead Sales for Rally’s three lines of business in Residential Services, HealthCare, and Managed Services
Grow the customer base through customer acquisition
Expand the scope of business with existing customers
Build and mentor a high-performance team of sales professionals
Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of sales by owning the tools and processes that will help realize the high potential for growth
Collaborate with key partners in our business ecosystem
The Person:
A passionate and experienced people leader with a flair for mentoring and developing successful salespeople
A self-starter, but not a lone wolf, who wants to be part of a dynamic entrepreneurial team
An effective communicator, both in person and in writing
A confident business professional with solid strategic, operational, and financial acumen
A highly capable sales manager with at least 5 years of sales management experience, likely grounded in telecom or another subscription-based business
A post-secondary graduate, or equivalent
A proficient user of core business tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, CRM)
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This is a hands-on role. The successful applicant will participate in on-call availability to resolve issues on an as-needed basis.
Reporting to the CTO, the successful application will perform Systems Engineering for the organization.
Ensure the integrity of Customer Server & Network Infrastructure for Hospitality and Residential Services.
Perform analysis, diagnosis/root cause to troubleshoot issues related to IP Network and IPTV.
Assessing the impact of content issues that arise as part of daily operations.
Perform corrective maintenance in a live customer facing production environment.
Oversee the constant availability of technical resources.
Participate in the development of customized software and hardware requirements.
Formulate and design security systems to maintain data integrity and safety.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Ensuring tools and processes are in place to allow for the monitoring and maintenance of the company’s servers and networks.
Providing technical, administrative, and operational support of server infrastructure for Rally broadband residential, enterprise, and IPTV customers.
Maintain all related systems design and support documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding analytical and methodical troubleshooting skills.
Intimately familiar with Linux/Unix environments with working knowledge of command line environments.
Administrative level understanding of SSH, FTP, SFTP, and HTTP protocols.
Strong knowledge of SCTE, SMTE, ITU, IETF and Broadband Forum specifications.
Knowledge in technical documentation, RFCs, and internet technologies, DNS, IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH.
Expert knowledge in the design, operation, and optimization of Servers, Data Centres, Operating Systems, application software, and system management tools.
Experience with virtualization, VMWare.
Performance tuning of applications stacks such as Apache, NGINX, Tomcat.
Good cloud experience especially in AWS.
Network experience with TCP/IP and UDP addressing, routing, protocols.
Knowledge of hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems.
Familiarity of MySQL, PostgreSQL, databases, network and system monitoring & management. tools are an asset.
Willingness to adapt, learn, and think on their feet.
Able to work in a very fast paced environment and provide significant contributions both individually and as part of a small team.
Able to quickly learn and implement new technologies and network practices in a constantly evolving service provider infrastructure.
